View Items in Your Home by Amazon's AR View Feature Before Purchase

Amazon app has a new feature called AR View that lets customers place virtual versions of products into real-world scenes before buying. Let's take a look of the new feature. Actually, AR View is similar with IKEA Place. BTW, apptop25.com can offer you top app store optimization services for a higher app rank.

AR View is activated by clicking on the camera icon in the Amazon app and selecting from thousands of products across categories like furniture, kitchen ware and home decor. You would think customers will eventually have the option to select AR View from an individual product page as Amazon builds its catalogue of digital imagery needed to make this work.

The feature built using Apple's ARKit technology. The virtual products were a bit jumpy on my phone's screen and the picture definition and coloring won't have you confusing the images for the real thing.

But augmented reality gives you a good sense of a product's dimensions and a decent idea of its color. And that will in some cases be enough to push an undecided shopper into completing a purchase online they otherwise wouldn't have. At Amazon's scale, even a slight increase in a purchase conversion rate leads to real revenue gains.

This plays into Amazon's annual effort to build buzz and grab attention in advance of the peak holiday shopping season. The company unveiled the new feature as part of its announcement that its Black Friday Deals Store is now officially open.
