eBay App Users Can Select Correct Shipping Box Size by New AR Feature

We all know AR is so popular in game marketing. And AR technology can make our daily life more convenient, such as IKEA Place. Now, eBay's android app also has a new AR feature to help you pick the correct box size for shipping. Read more details in the following contents. BTW, never miss our professional app store optimization guides and services to boost your app rank.

Available on some Android devices in the U.S. from today, eBay is tapping Google's ARCore software development kit (SDK) to leverage motion-tracking and environmental awareness smarts to help merchants position a physical product inside a virtual box.

To access the new feature, tap the “selling” part of your eBay account, and hit “Will it Fit?” to try out the beta feature. You'll need to place your item on a flat, horizontal surface for this to work. The AR feature is pretty simple: point your phone at whatever it is you're trying to ship, and it'll superimpose an augmented reality box over it so you can figure out if it'll fit. It's got a bunch of standard box sizes built in. The idea is that you'll know that you need to get, say, a medium USPS flat rate box from the post office instead of overshooting and having to go back for a bunch of bubble wrap.
