What Should You Do When the Keywords Are Not Covered

What should you do if the keywords are not covered after the App has passed the audit? As we know, not all the words filled in can be covered as keywords. Coverage is probabilistic, and it is not always happening. In addition, the results of basic coverage, word formation and word expansion are probabilistic. For the detailed information, please keep your eyes on Apprb.

There are six reasons for the failure of keyword coverage as follows:

1.The keyword coverage scheme has a certain time delay.
2. App Store search engine crawl failed.
3. The keyword is very competitive, and the initial ranking is after 2200. Apple will treat the initial keyword ranking as being uncovered after 2200 (similar to the App ranking after 1500 it is considered not to enter the list).
4. The keyword is not included in the App Store keyword vocabulary (usually a long word or a new brand word).
5. When covering keywords, often a single word is more difficult to cover than words with two or more words, which is caused by Apple's algorithm.
6. App is cleared.

There are some useful solutions you can check out as below:

1. Keyword coverage time delay.
When the developer has just passed the app and found that some important keywords are not covered, in fact, there is no need to worry. The keyword coverage is delayed, and there is a high probability that it will take effect within 1-2 days.

2. App Store search engine crawl failed.
The keyword can be separated by punctuation to help the search engine to crawl, and the weight of the word can be increased in a repeated manner. It is recommended to repeat 2-3 times.

3. The initial ranking of the keyword is too low and is judged as not covered.
You can try to repeat the word, which is good for weights. The weight increase can improve the initial ranking of keywords, so that the success rate of keyword coverage will be higher, and it is beneficial to the later optimization.

4. The words filled in are not included.
If it is a long word, there is currently no good way to solve it. Because few people search for long words in the App Store, it is difficult for the App Store to include long words. You can find the long words you want to fill in first. If it is not included, don't deliberately fill in the words.

If you fill in a new brand word, wait for a while, and your app has a certain user base, Apple will cover the word after updating the thesaurus (the average user does not need a lot, the time is within one week).

5. Difficult to cover single words.
If the developer needs to cover a single word, punctuation can be used to help the word segmentation.

6. App was cleared.
·When the app is cleared, the developer can go to the iTC background to contact and appeal through the [Contact Us];
·Try to update the version and set a new keyword scheme (the success rate is not very high).
·Consider enabling the vest if you wait for Apple's feedback for a long time(this method is the most effective).
·Finally, if you are not in a hurry, you can wait a little longer... (developer feedback has a few months to recover)

The case where the filled keywords are not covered may occur. So developers can wait until the App download volume has increased if they encounter such a situation. If not, follow the above situation to solve the problem. If you need App Store Optimization service, then apprb is your best choice.
