Tencent's Perfect World Revenue Reaches $100 Million on China's App Store in 22 Days

According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates, Tencent’s latest mobile game, Perfect World, launched in the country on March 5 and has already reached more than $100 million in player spending on iOS alone. As your trustworthy app store optimization company, apprb will share the latest news with you.

Perfect World has displaced the publisher’s revenue champion Honor of Kings from its No. 1 grossing position longer than any other title has managed in more than two years.

Honor of Kings had only been overtaken at No. 1 grossing on China’s App Store eight times in the past year prior to Perfect World’s launch, and just two of those had been for longer than one day. Perfect World has held the No. 1 spot for 17 of the past 18 days, and is currently back at No. 1 after ceding the top spot to Honor of Kings on March 26.

Since launching on March 5, Perfect World has averaged more than $4.5 million in daily player spending. Looking back to the initial October 2015 release of Honor of Kings, that title grossed a total of $4.2 million on China’s App Store in its first 22 days according to our estimates, or only about 4 percent of Perfect World’s total so far.

Based on Perfect World’s 3.3 million estimated installs so far on iOS, the game has averaged slightly more than $30 per download in player spending to date.
