Recently, a live voice app Zello ranked top 1 in the App Store in the wake of Hurricane Irma. How did it happen? Read the following contents for more details. And if you want to have a higher app rank like Zello, our professional app rank boosting service can help you.

As Hurricane Irma hurtles across the Caribbean toward the coast of Florida, Zello continues to boom in popularity. The free Internet "walkie-talkie" app - which relies on cellphone data plans or WiFi and is designed to operate in places where signals are weak - became the top app on iTunes and Google Play Wednesday.

Zello first began rising in the top free chart as Tropical Storm Harvey made landfall in Texasas a Category 4 hurricane two weeks ago. According to USA Today, the app is the go-to service for rescue workers in the Houston area. Zello CEO Bill Moore told the paper that its service saw 20 times as many new users in Houston last week as rescue efforts ramped up.

The latest influx began Tuesday and, at one point, Moore said, 120 people were registering for the app every second. In recent days, the app has also trended on Facebook and Twitter, offering another example of the pivotal role social media is playing in natural disasters.

The app's usage is only going to increase as preparations for Irma continue and residents in the Caribbean and Florida prepare for the worst. The company's official Facebook page says Zello Walkie Talkie is seeing as many as 7,000 new registrations per minute, and the team is working tirelessly to maintain uptime as usage skyrockets. The National Hurricane Center predicts Irma may hit southern Florida as early as this weekend.
